Benefits of Sound Meditation
A Sound Meditation is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to NURTURE YOUR MIND AND BODY.
Using a variety of overtone-emitting instruments including tuning forks, Himalayan singing bowls, gong, rattles and chimes, sound meditation helps:
-
Release both physical and emotional tension through vibrational sound therapy, which resonates through every cell in the body and soothes the nervous system.
-
Aligns the body and mind in a harmonious blend of true presence and relaxation.
-
Contributes to individual wellbeing but also fosters a positive and collaborative atmosphere within groups and the workplace.
-
Encourages clarity of mind —a powerful ally in decision-making and navigating daily life and with greater ease— by creating a sacred space, untouched by external overstimulation.

About Sabine
My name is Sabine Feuilloley
Originally from France, I came to NYC in 1990 and worked in the fashion industry for many years. In this fast-paced, ever-evolving landscape, discovering and implementing a traditional meditation practice was always a powerful tool for managing the stress and intense demands of life in NYC and that profession, notorious for excitement, glamour and volatility.
Then, I encountered sound meditation—and a true revelation occurred.
When I experienced first hand how sound can instantaneously transport participants into a deep state of relaxation, and allowing them to experience the benefits of meditation without the need for years of rigorous practice, I knew I found my calling.
In 2020, amidst the uncertainty and isolation of the pandemic, meditation became an anchor —a way to navigate fear, anxiety, and the unknown. During this time of reflection and recalibration, I decided to dive into the practice and train to share the benefits I was exposed to.

I’ve now done it several times and each session is better than the last. The sounds and scents were simultaneously intriguing and calming, taking me from a hectic workday to a soothing mindset that lifted my spirits for the remainder of the day. I highly recommend sound meditation to anyone and am grateful I had the opportunity to give it a try.”

Why are sound meditation beneficial?
Overtone instruments like gong & singing bowls induce a spontaneous state of relaxation called theta. In theta, or lucid dream state our brainwave frequencies range from 4 to 7 Hz. These frequencies allow our body to fully relax, letting our physical, emotional, and mental self to repair & expand.
